Sarissa was built by Vitters Shipyard in 2011 for an experienced boat owner with a young family. The owner wanted to combine comfortable, extended family cruising with a performance edge. The yacht will compete in several superyacht regattas as well as spending long periods of time adventuring on family holidays to remote, isolated places in the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic Oceans.

A state of the art sailing boat in every sense. The experience of Tripp Design, Rhoades Young and Vitters Shipyard has resulted in a light weight cored interior that maximises space making for a very efficient yacht. The advanced technology enhances the guests' experience who simply enjoy the fantastic sailing performance and interior ambience of the yacht.

" Sarissa combines ease of sailing whilst maximising performance and aesthetics ”

A tremendous combination of lively performance and easy steering, she tracks easily, holding a straight line, with no need for constant sail trimming. Her sail plan is easy to balance, making single-handed sailing possible. The geared steering provides just the right amount of feedback through the wheel without necessitating biceps of steel.

Visibility from the helm is excellent, whether standing, using the helm seat, or sitting on the comfortable coaming outboard. The choice of a simple sloop rig means that a crew of six can use a 1,400 square metre asymmetric spinnaker safely and enjoyably as it can be furled away in seconds. The square-top carbon mainsail is one of the largest in the world.

" From the rich open oceans to wild uncharted atolls, Sarissa has explored some of the most isolated and exciting cruising areas of the world "

Sarissa is a sleek pilothouse sloop with a fully modern hull shape, sail plan and foils. She is built to MCA with a strong light weight carbon hull giving an edge to her powerful performance. Her lifting keel can be raised to make her a fully versatile yacht balancing performance with shallow water cruising ability.

The yacht includes an aft cockpit, which can be converted to an occasional swimming pool.

The vast deck areas are wonderfully safe and uncluttered and the uninterrupted deck space between the cockpits has a number of innovative uses including a climbing training area and stunning outdoor film screen.

The interior decor mainly consists of three timber varieties and luxury fabrics. There is still the sense of being in touch with nature as the interior space is bathed in natural light, the unique vertical hull windows connecting you to the oceans around you.

Delivered in 2011 by Dutch yard Vitters, SARISSA is an award winning yacht, boasting the 2012 ShowBoats Design Award for Naval Architecture and offers unrivalled charter potential. The experienced owner called for a sailing yacht with the capabilities to race yet fulfilled the needs of a young family wanting extended adventurous cruising to remote, isolated places. What emerged, from the collaboration of Tripp Design for the exterior, Rhoades Young for her stylish interior and Vitters for the build is an extremely versatile yacht ready to ensure a charter of a lifetime.
